I have been working with Flower Essences for nearly 30 years and in that time I have seen very little growth in interest with them until now. The whole episode with Covid-19 has galvanised a lot of people to look into alternative forms of healing. I have studied many different types of energy healing, like reiki, crystal healing, sound therapy and colour therapy, but for me the most pure form of Energy Medicine is Flower Essences. They never cease to amaze me at how accurate and effective they are.
Flower Essences have been around as long as we humans have been concious beings, but in the 1930’s a doctor and homeopath called Edward Bach brought them up to date and made them accessible to all of us. We have a lot to be very thankful to him for, but we will never really know how he arrived at his selection of flowers to make his 38 Bach Remedies. In my opinion, he was a scientist who was very spiritual in nature, and that is a rare thing. He understood that our emotions effect our health and if you treat the emotional cause of dis-ease you can physically heal the body. I have made many of his essences, as well as many others that I have been guided to make along my path.
This is where I am going to be quite contentious in my views, as I do not believe as Dr Bach did that flower essences are linked to personality types, specific healers or helpers. I believe that all flowers have something to say and can help us to heal in some way, either on an Emotional, Physical, Mental or Spiritual level. They relate energetically to specific chakras, this also helps us to understand how specific flowers are helping us.
The most effective way to heal yourself however is to make your own essences, this takes time, patience, study, considerable effort and determination. It becomes your Soul Journey and part of your way of life. We all have different challenges and emotions to deal with, so the fact there are so many more different flowers than Dr Bach’s 38 is fantastic. What is right for me in my process of making flower essences may not be for you. It is such an enlightening and healing process, one I would highly recomend to anyone who is interested in healing energetically and getting closer to nature.
